Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 July 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Aillo AI receptionist service (the "Service") provided by Aillo("Aillo", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Aillo provides an automated telephone assistant that answers calls, books appointments and takes messages for your business, together with a dashboard to manage it. The Service relies on artificial intelligence and third-party providers (telephony, AI models, payments, hosting, email).
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and be responsible for all activity under your account. You must be authorized to act for the business you register and be of legal age to enter into a contract.
3. Acceptable use
- Use the Service only for lawful business purposes and in compliance with applicable telecommunications, anti-spam and privacy laws.
- Do not use the Service for unsolicited automated calls, telemarketing abuse, harassment, fraud or any illegal activity.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
- You are responsible for informing your callers, where required by law, that calls are handled by an automated assistant and may be recorded or transcribed.
4. Phone numbers
Phone numbers made available through the Service are provisioned via our telephony provider and assigned to your account for use with the Service. You do not own the number. If your subscription ends, is cancelled, or your account is suspended for non-payment, the number may be released and reassigned, and calls to it will no longer reach your assistant. Number portability, where available, is subject to carrier rules.
5. Fees, credit and billing
- Plans and pay-as-you-go usage are billed as described at sign-up. Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes.
- Calls consume prepaid credit or usage; if your balance runs out, the Service may stop answering calls until you add credit.
- If you enable automatic top-up (auto-recharge), you authorize us to charge your saved payment method when your balance falls below your chosen threshold.
- Except where required by law, fees and used credit are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and may release your number.
6. AI limitations
The assistant is automated and may occasionally mishear, misunderstand or make errors. Appointments and messages it captures are provided for your review, and you are responsible for confirming important details with your customers. The Service is a tool to assist your business and is not a substitute for professional, medical, legal or emergency services.
7. Your content and responsibilities
You are responsible for the business information, greeting and knowledge you provide, and for ensuring you have the right to use it and to have calls handled on your behalf. You grant us the limited right to process this content solely to operate the Service for you.
8. Availability & warranty
We work to keep the Service reliable but provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that every call will be answered.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aillo is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, missed calls or lost business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service unlawfully. On termination, your number may be released and your data handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms or the Service. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email; continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Québec, Canada.
